Quiver - SNEAK PEAK
My current project, a large one-shot comic called 'QUIVER' is now in the works. With that said, I just couldn't hold anything else in and wanted to provide you a peak into what is going on. I am super stoked to announce Kimberly Dunaway as the cover artist and logo designer. Below is a shot she sent me of the cover in progress...this is the making of a great product and I cant wait for you to have it in your hands soon.
Kim has illustrated trading cards for companies TOPPS, UPPER DECK and many others. With them she has masterfully created cards for brands such as Transformers, The Avengers, Star Wars, Marvel Beginnings to name a few. These awesome cards have been snatched up by fanboys and girls in comic stores and large retail outlets across the country. Please checkout her site, view her store and check her out at an upcoming con. www.kimberlydunaway.com

Quiver
Last year I wrote a story in an attempt to deal was yet another life event. After reaching the end of the draft I found the story to be hokey, so I shelved it on a file in my laptop. Ironically a couple of weeks ago I was asked at a con, "Other than Horror-Sci-Fi what else have you written?"
I knew I had outlines on projects just waiting to be written, so I thought what the heck...I'm going to try and cold sell a nonexistent story. After I explained the premise the response back was,"When will that be out." At that moment I knew I had something and had to reinvent it the way the story was just explained.
So currently the script is in production for an EPIC sized, one-shot comic called Quiver. Soon I will divulge more about the story concept and reveal all those on the creative team.

Quick DVD Review
I came across a DVD copy of a film that I enjoyed from the late 80's. "From Beyond" is another H.P. Lovecraft adaptation starring Jeffery Combs. Check it out.
From Beyond centers around a pair of scientists attempting to stimulate the pineal gland with a device called The Resonator. An unforeseen result of their experiments is the ability to perceive creatures from another dimension that proceed to drag the head scientist into their world, returning him as a grotesque shape-changing monster that preys upon the others at the laboratory.

Average at Best Films
Buddy, Paul Arnone of "Average at Best Films" has an Indie-go-go page up to raise money for his company's short film collection called Confusion. Please check it out at the link below and help him. Now is the time to get on board to what looks to be a real fun horror ride.
"Over the past couple of years, I have been meeting a lot of other independent film makers and am very inspired by what they do. I feel Average At Best Films™ is on the verge of being a great contributor to the Indie film making / horror scene."

Weapon of the Week #8 Fubar
Regardless of how prepared you are, if the zombie apocalypse ever rolls around, survival will likely entail some form of scavenging. And the apocalypse may place several man-made obstacles between you and that not-yet-expired can of dog food. In that case, consider the Stanley FUBAR demolition tool (Model STHT55134) your personal key to Alpo-ville.
The Stanley FUBAR is essentially a hunk of carbon steel with a prying claw on one end and a curved cutting surface/chisel on the other. Both ends facilitate nail-removal (you don’t want to succumb to tetanus during the zombie apocalypse, do you?) while the rubberized grip ensures the tool won’t slip out of your hand and take out an eye. Designed originally to take out drywall and sheetrock, the FUBAR should be able to handle brains and connective tissue in a pinch, but I wouldn’t become overly reliant on it.
At 14.25” long, the FUBAR can add a lot of function to your bug-out-bag without adding much bulk. Currently retailing for about $20, it’s a good item to purchase and then have at the ready…just in case.

Readers are convinced
I received the following email yesterday from reader Chris G. who I met at the Nashville Full Moon Horror Fest and wanted to pass on his nice words...
Hey. Just finished the book! Good story. Can't wait for the next one. Any idea on a release date for it? Not sure that you'd even remember me but I was probably one of your last customers at the full moon horror fest. You had run out of shirts & gave me some artwork in place of it & my girlfriend had you sign the book to me. Still wish I had been able to get that shirt, lol. Just wanted to give you a "Great job on the book" though. Keep up the work & hope to see the next book out soon!
